Carnage

Another great movie we watched last week is Carnage. We were in a mood for something not-too-serious and not-too-long, and this was just the perfect movie for that (it’s only 80 minutes!). I thought the acting was phenomenal —especially Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet were exceptional.

The movie basically reflects the meeting of the parents of two kids who were involved in a fight. During the fight, Zachary (Nancy and Alan’s son) hits Ethan (Penelope and Michael’s son) with a stick and the parents decide to meet up in order to solve this problem as adults. However, as time passes, all parents start to act more and more childish. Especially (spoiler alert) after Nancy (Kate Winslet) unexpectedly throws up all over the living room, the movie really picks up its pace :)

The whole movie takes place in a living room, with 4 people. If somebody said this to me before watching it, I’d probably assume it would be extremely boring. However, “Carnage” made me see that if you have great actors and actresses, with a good script and a great director, you actually don’t need anything fancy. You can just put them in a room and make a funny, realistic, interesting movie.

Another must-see movie!

Just one random info: One of the funniest parts of the movie for me was when Nancy said: “My husband has spent the entire afternoon drying things!”
